The idea for a money gift registry developed from our own wedding experience.
My husband and I had lived on our own prior to getting engaged. So when it came time to register for gifts, we both had two of everything we needed. What we really wanted was the freedom to get other things, such as large furniture, a deposit for our new home, money towards our wedding, and even money towards our honeymoon in Australia. After calling many different banking institutions and other on-line registries, we could not find the service that would provide us with the money gift registry service we were looking for. We wanted ultimate flexibility, cash, but we didn't know how to ask guests for monetary gifts. So, there was born the idea for aperfectweddinggift.com
